How do you like to relax after a long and tiring day? We’ve all got our favourite ways to unwind – and the women we talked to are no different! From a trip to the gym to a decidedly cheeky soak in the bath, our ladies reveal how they like to chill out. We spoke to ten professional women from the capital and asked them to share their relation secrets. If you’re feeling a little wound up, then read on for some inspiration!
“There’s no better way to relax than with a bit of retail therapy! Whether it’s a new dress a pair of Jimmy Choos I’ve had my eye on, some new purchases always brighten up a stressful day.”
“I like to wind down with some gentle exercise, either yoga or Pilates; followed by some time in the steam room. You feel so relaxed afterwards, so it’s worth making the effort to head to the gym.”
“Lunch with the girls is the best way to unwind. Some good food, a cheeky drink or two and some great company are all you need to feel better about yourself sometimes. We love to meet up at Jamie’s Italian.”
“I love to unwind by visiting the cinema every now and then. My favourite kind of film has to be a good old fashioned romantic comedy – some proper sappy escapism! If I am at home, Love Actually is still my favourite.”
“Relaxing with my feet soaking in my HoMedics foot spa is my favourite way to kick back after a day in my heels. If you throw in a glass of wine and some of my favourite chocolates as well, you may as well say it’s a perfect evening!”
“In the middle of a busy day, I try to stop for a drink in my favourite coffee shop. A little treat like that gives you a much needed boost, and some time away from the office to clear your head!”
“There’s only one way to totally relax for me, and that’s with a massage at my local spa. You can literally feel the tension melting away. I could happily lay there for hours – or until they kick me out!”
“A soak in the bath is probably my favourite way to unwind – especially if I bring a little friend in with me! I have tried out a few different waterproof vibrators, and the Bath Time Bunny is definitely the one that does it for me.”
“For me, total relaxation is a night of pampering. A face mask, a hair treatment, painting my nails – you name it! It’s nice to give your body a little rest after a long week, and looking good is always a confidence boost.”
“I love to curl up under the covers with a good book. There’s no better way of escaping reality for a little while than getting engrossed in a great story, and I could happily read for hours! My favourite book? Well, it’s got to be Fifty Shades!”
So, do you take after any of the ladies we spoke to? Or do you relax in a different way? Whatever you do, it’s important to keep stress at bay. So if it works, keep at it! If you’re still stuck on how to how to unwind, then take note from the girls above. There’s bound to be something that suits you!
