What is the difference between JEE Mains and JEE Advanced?
Earlier there were two different exams, IIT-JEE and AIEEE, that were conducted for national engineering institutes but from 2012 , the entire process was changed. From 2012, CBSE changed the process and decided to conduct one exam with two subcategories. JEE Mains is for admission in Indian Institute of Information Technology and National Institute of technology and JEE Advance is for Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian School of Mines (ISM) situated at Dhanbad. What should you know about JEE Mains 2016?
JEE Mains 2016 will be conducted on April 3, April 9 and April 10, 2016. The online registrations will commence from December 1, 2015. The JEE Mains has two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1 is for admission in B.E and B.Tech courses. The exam is held in both online and offline mode. Paper-2 is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses and is conducted only in offline mode. Both the papers are based on multiple choice questions. It is entirely on the choice of the student to appear in any of the papers of JEE Mains.
