Born in the year 1989, Yemi Eberechi Alade, popularly known as Yemi Alade took her first breathe on March 13th as the 5th daughter in a Yoruba family. Her father is a Yoruba and is the police commissioner in Abia State, one of the well known states in Nigeria. Her mother is an Igbo and hence, she is also known as Yoruba-Igbo girl. She is also known as “ghen ghen babe” because of the way she fires the stage with her pop albums.
Yemi completed her education in many schools and colleges. She first completed her primary education from a British School known as St Saviour British Primary School. She then completed her higher education in Victory Grammar School and finally obtained a degree in Geography from the Lagos University, one of the prestigious Universities in Nigeria.
She entered the music field after entering and winning maiden edition in one of the famous talent shows, known as Peak Talent Show in the year 2009. This platform not only brought her to light, but also served as a stairs through which she reached the doors of fame in the music industry.
Yemi Alade takes pride in being one of the well known talents who are also song-writers, artists, actresses, composers, entertainers, etc, from Nigeria. Her style of music remains un-matched and hence, people go crazy for her talent in electrifying the stage, every time she is on one. Even though the fame started chasing her at an early age, she never fluctuated from her goal to obtain a degree in Geography and it is after obtaining a degree that she made a come-back on the stage.
Music attracted the attention of Yemi Alade when she became the lead in one of the girl groups at that time, which was introduced and managed by one of the well reputed Music Associations, Storm Management. This was in the year 2005 and it is from here when she entered the Peak Talent Show and won the competition in 2009.
Yemi Alade introduced her first single debut “Fimisle”, which became major hit in radio. The video featured eLDee and became the major hit that introduced her to the fans of music all around the globe. She then continued her career by signing with some well known entertainment associations in the world. She never stopped introducing pop sensation music from time to time and this is what made her one of the celebrities with millions of fans, soon after the release of the second album.
Yemi Alade has worked with the sensational singers from all around the globe and some of the names include Shina Peters, Yemi Sax, May D, Becca, Wizkid, Mary J.
